Chubb does not test for marijuana. We haven’t for years. There is a drug test requirement, but marijuana was removed years ago as legislation started to legalize it in many jurisdictions we hire in. It was easier to remove fully versus manage where it should/should not be included.

Is this still true please? and specifically in Philly?PA?

Can confirm we drug test but have stopped testing for weed

like

Yes, at least according to the document linked below (although it's dated from 2014): "Unless otherwise prohibited by law, CHUBB will test for the following drugs: amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), propoxyphene, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, methadone and their metabolites. In Montana, CHUBB will test for amphetamines (including Ecstasy), cocaine, marijuana, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP) and their
metabolites. In Oklahoma, CHUBB will test for drugs and alcohol as defined in the Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act, including controlled substances approved for testing by the State Commissioner of Health." file:///C:/Users/student/Downloads/drug-testing-policy-pre-employment.pdf

That is old, they don't test for it anymore.

I started in 2021 and was tested, including for marijuana

like

Yes. They do drug tests. And yes, that includes testing for marijuana.

like

Yes and yes

like

Yes they do and yes they test for marijuana. Most places do regardless of if it is legal in the state or not.

No, they don’t anymore. It’s illegal in places like NYC

Yes, they still do. Had to take one when I applied and had been tested for marijuana as well.

Yes and yes

Yes and no. Just looked at it again last week when we were hiring someone.

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

Is it common in the industry for licensed insurance agents to not get any commissions on a referral in which you personally write the policy? Ex: If a current client refers a prospect to our team, I would not receive commission. Additionally, if I write a policy for friends/family I would get a small incentive but it’s a fraction of the commission producers make.
Management is considering changing this going forward. However, I’m not sure how I should react if they keep things how they are now.
