This is a main reason I’m leaving. I want to learn the ins and outs of an industry I like and see the mid to long term effects of my efforts instead of jumping around. I’m tired of being a jack of all trades.
Fake it till you make it… but you never make it…
I will say while we are always having to learn new things and it doesn’t seem to get any easier (I’m at 3 years now after leaving industry). My growth in this 3 years has been exponential compared to industry. So yes it’s constantly uncomfortable and there’s terrible imposter syndrome all the time. But the flip side is you are constantly learning / growing and never bored. Guess you need to figure out what’s more important to you - and there’s no right/wrong answer.

True! I’ve grown so much these past few years despite the constant feeling of uncertainty!
Have you been on shorter projects? Frankly I dont feel like I’ve settled into a project until at least month 4

Yes primarily short projects, 1-2 months long on average. I never feel settled, so maybe I’ll have better luck on a longer project
