Here I've two options, please suggest which one to go for- YEO:2+ O1: Cognizant (Current Company): Offering 7.8Lpa fixed + 20k Variable to retain. (No complaint against my current project, team and technology... Though work pressure is there but I am comfortable since I've been working in this project since its initial days) O2: EY GDS: Offering 9Lpa fixed + 5% Variable (Learning curve may be higher) Should I leave my current company or should I stay?
What’s your most intense negotiation story? Negotiating to take a senior role at a small company. I’m negotiating the deal to be mostly variable, performance based comp. I’ll make 4x or <50% of what I make now. I’m, what I believe they say, “Shitting bricks.”
Are lower-level (<manager) roles at other strategy firms available after January? I’m currently in a strategy role w/in Life Sciences, but I’d like to transition to more “generalist“ work elsewhere
Dug through the threads & need help fishy friends. Anyone willing to pass my book on to Havas NY? Saw they’re hiring a bunch of Sr.CW/ACD’s non-healthcare. Thanks!!
Random question: does anyone here work at PwC in Philadelphia? Looking to make contact, ideally with someone in a leadership position but willing to start anywhere, for a high profile charity thing.

Oh the wait for H1B transfer is killing me
I’m current an S1 in corporate tax for a Top 10. I had an interview with a Big 4 for a tax technology position, but didn’t get in. I’m heartbroken because it was my dream job. 😅Everyone I spoke to seemed to like my experience and the recruiter said the team liked me as well, but they didn’t offer any feedback. Any advice on software or certifications I should get to help me get into tax technology and tax transformation? I’d really appreciate it - thank you for hearing me out!
How do exit ops look for someone with an engineering degree and a little over a year of experience as a consultant on emerging tech / IOT projects? Not sure what jobs / companies to look at! Thank you
How much does brand matter in tech (e.g., FAANG) for exits and career growth/learning vs a smaller well known tech company (e.g., YEXT)? Assume strategy/ops role. Is it like MBB vs other?
Anyone initiating a H1B transfer to new employer? What is the approval timeline now? Is premium processing available?
Hi, I have a 1st round interview coming up for an associate position at L.E.K. Consulting and was wondering if anyone could give some insight into the interview? I believe it will be 2 cases, 30 min strategy and 30 min quant. Have been doing some case prep over past few months, but nothing too in depth or LEK specific. Kind of nervous - never done a case interview and feel a little underprepared
Do I have to file an amendment on my h1b, approved in June, getting promoted to manager on January 1 and have my appointment on January 14th
How much business development work do you participate in as an analyst? My M/SM keep looping me in on proposal development. Are these good initiatives to be involved in as opposed to other opportunities at this stage in consulting (ie impact to YE, or opening up opps)?

Can someone help with details like how many sick, casual and privileged leaves we have for each year and where can we find this information?
Starting the interview loop again for a PgM role in UX at Google. I received good feedback the first set of interviews I did for a previous role but I didn’t get to the hiring committee. I would like to increase my chances this time since there are multiple roles open across different teams. I’m really worried about the GCA round since this loop is different and I don’t have experience in UX. Does anyone have any resources that would be useful for me to leverage for this round?
Want to look at the bright side of being laid off. Any stories of success from being laid off? How was it a blessing in disguise?
Does anyone have any study tips or can suggest a helpful study tool for the HRCI SPHR exam? I used BenchPrepHR to help me prep and took a few practice test. I took my exam last week and unfortunately did not pass. Any tips would be helpful to help me prepare to retake in a few months.
honest opinions ended! am recently engaged & could not be happier about it. The ring is stunning and I LOVE it, it’s exactly what I wanted, however, there’s an inclusion on the stone that’s a dark dot that is extremely noticeable to me. Even arms length away I can see it. I never cared about the grading of the stone or if there was inclusions, as long as they weren’t visible to the naked eye of an average person. Am I terrible if I ask to go back to the jewelers & try swap the stone?
With new considerations for full-time remote work given the pandemic, has anyone heard of hires internationally at agencies? For example, if an agency office in London has a remote option, do they even consider candidates from the U.S. or will the time difference be too great to make it work?
Does ZS Associates do remote location flexibility? Or are you required to live in an office city? I'm looking at a Consultant role in the Health Plan & Provider area but would prefer to stay located in the SLC area.
Need career advice: in industry, took a job in the function I want but not the exact team to hopefully internally move later. Just found out that our team is looking to hire someone who would focus on what I actually want to do (however position hasnt been approved yet and no idea if it truly aligns but based on the name it does). I haven’t really been upfront with my interests in doing more work related to the team I want but have dropped subtle hints. Worth being upfront? More in comments
Completely bombed a 1 hour case long panel interview. Got grilled so hard the manager said “are you kidding me” to one of my answers.
I kind of have the feeling that few of my friends are jealous of my career in terms of salary and lifestyle I’m leading right now. But at the same time; they know how hard I’ve worked and the sacrifices I’ve made for it. Sometimes I feel like I can’t enjoy / celebrate what happens to me because it would make them feel bad about their situation. I only give good news to my parents/siblings and SO at this point because they are always happy for me.
Hello everyone, I trust you are well! I need to create a project plan to migrate everything in my current QMS to a e-QMS, software. Does anyone have a project plan template that is customized or similar to a e-QMS migration? Thank you! I appreciate very much your help!
Anyone know how stringent Amazon is with basic requirements for YOE? If the role says 2+ years of experience and I’m at 20 months, is it worth applying?
Looking to move from HR to HR data analytics. Any tips? I have experience with very small data sets, but want to get my hands on SQL, Tableau, Python, etc. and these are not used in my current role. I’d love any guidance or resources you may have!
I am leaving my current employer end of this week and joining another one soon. Is there anything you wish you did during your last week from financial perspective ( 401k , pension , paychecks etc. ) ? Looking for things I need to keep track off Thanks in advance
Hello Folks, Can you pls advise on which company to go for. R-Systems : They are providing WFH + clarity on the project and team for which I’ll be working upon. CTS : No clarity as of now, only thing I am aware is that I’m a part of full stack community. HCL : Some clarity on the project but less package than other two. R-Systems and CTS are giving same CTC. YOE ~8 Skill set : . Net full stack + Angular + Azure Thanks
God. There is one other black person on the project (which is a miracle in itself), however the partners and directors only seem to have capacity to remember one guys name. My name is now Michael.
My boyfriend is kind of cheap. Granted I make way more money than him, but I bought a super expensive flight so we could be together for New Years. I feel like he doesn’t appreciate it he just expects it because I make more. I don’t mind but I’m wondering how we can work long term if we’re on such different pages when it comes to money. I’m not a spendy person but I like to enjoy experiences and travel while I can.
