Any RBP companies in Philly or remote hiring?
I was contacted by an Amazon recruiter for a remote Sr. Program Manager role. I took and passed the assessment and was moved to the hiring manager round which was scheduled for tomorrow. I got an email tonight saying that the Director of the group decided that the person must be in Seattle. I am in Austin, which is not an option. I’m disappointed! The recruiter will let me know if any remote roles come up but in the mean time, does anyone have any remote Amazon roles that they’d refer me to?

With 2016 priority date you are not going to get GC unless the law changes. Eb1 is faster but it also has a backlog now bcoz of the abuse or more multinational managers coming in. I only see the backlog growing.
It is also getting scrutinized more these days and many companies have started doing this only for senior managers and above.

I actually see it as exact opposite, we’re walking into a recession, unfortunately visa queues are going to get culled massively because of the imminent/ongoing layoffs, 07/08 was similar.
EB1 now also has a backlog but isn’t 100+ years.

Yes it’s much faster, but assume a 2-4 year timeline with further uncertainty.

OP, eb1 is far better than eb2 but is also backlogged exactly because of what your wife was told to do which is basically gaming the eb 1c route. Anyway, do read into eb1c more.. She has to be on the payroll of the foreign country entitity and not the US entity.
EB1 is the simple answer. You will be out of the US for about 15 months and once you are back you are looking at about 5 years. Just make sure there is job here to come back to, all though there are no guarantees.
