Following. I work at CLA as well

Staff
I worked for LarsonAllen years ago. They will nickel and dime you to death. It was a horrible working environment.
No annual bonus in our office either, but pay is competitive or equal with the B4 in our market. We can expect to received annual increases to pay in the range listed above.
Not many people in our industry are having these discussions about their pay expectations with their bosses/principals. If it is something that you feel we can improve on - make sure to have this discussion during roundtables or check in with your coach for their opinion on how to bring this up the chain.
When I left LarsonAllen, I was hired at Grant Thornton and received $2K more in salary. The trade-off for me was less headache, better working environment, and a more sophisticated firm. I have worked at Grant Thornton for over ten years and overall the people are wonderful. I have always received compensation increases and have received bonuses at Grant Thornton. I work with an amazing team and they value my contribution.
Location wise was not ideal CLA has lots of offices in rural areas. If it comes down to career progression after I get my cpa I might be open to move to different areas. It’s all about affordability
Just got. Thought everyone firm gives one. Guess not
Don’t think CRZ does either. At least not to everyone.
I think the staff one and the people who joined middle of year may not get one but usually everyone else gets bonus as long as the economy is not shitty.
Are you guys staff 1 or higher ups?
How do you like the firm overall?
No bonuses? That’s kind of odd. What are your raises like?
3-6% in my office at least. Non promotion year
Firm so far is alright I’m sure it’s comparable with other mid size firms. Just trying to get a feeling for pay comparison. I’ve talked to seniors and they all agree with they’ve put up with low raises. Which surprises me if there is no bonus I would expect higher raises
They gave us really bad bonuses one year...like $1,000 across the board in one office’s audit department. It was the last straw for me. I quit.
@OP do you get overtime maybe? I know some mid size firms pay OT and therefore no bonus
No bonuses for staff at EY, bonuses for seniors have been very low in recent years - average performers got 1.5%
@Grant Thornton 1- What did you not like about LarsonAllen?
Percentage wise how much better was the pay when you moved over to @Grant Thornton 1.
@mossadams 1 where do you work at now?
At that time, LarsonAllen would not invest in technology to produce top notch products. It was ranked around #20 in the nation. The office manager at the time was very rude to most employees. The OMP at the time was aware of the objectionable behavior and refused to address issues. Poor leadership and poor management.
