What other consulting firms have a prominent supply chain consulting practice besides MBB, the Big 4 accounting firms, and Kearney?
Does it look bad to move from small firm as a manager to big 4 as a senior? Have an offer from PWC but not sure I want to lose the manager title.
Currently considering offers from 2 big 4 firms for entry level audit opportunities. I’m a bit concerned about the burn out that everybody’s talking about in PA. Any advice on how to avoid it or at least minimize the effects?
really considering leaving B4 but my team relies so heavily on me, yet I feel so overworked and under appreciated. However I feel bad leaving them in the dust. anyone go through this? How did you go about/what were the steps of leaving?
Has anyone else left the B4 (industry or smaller firm) and felt like they just got out of an abusive relationship and have never been happier or did you realize the grass isn’t greener on the other side?

How difficult/easy it is to get a job at another big 4 company. Got 3 years of experience at EY .
If you are not a partner, do any of the Big 4 have a mandatory retirement age? I have a friend who is working in industry and has been approached by a few firms as he has a very desirable technical skill set. He is in his 50's and doesn't want to make a move unless there is some runway to keep working. He basically could work as long as he wants where he is at. The pay increase would be significant for him to jump to but if he is mandatorily forced out in a few years it might not be worth it.
Is there a wrong time to quit? Started in audit at Big 4 less than a year ago and I already feel burned out. I was planning on staying for a few years and then moving to private accounting and getting a job with better pay, better hours, etc. But at this point, I don’t think I want to work in accounting long term. Is it bad to quit a job I’ve been at for less than a year? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Is anyone getting a h1 transfer after the premium processing has been suspended. I got an offer with another big 4, but recruiter mentioned that it takes about 6-8 months to get h1 transfer 😩 (contd)
Any robo-advisors (or other places you’d recommend) where we’re allowed to park $? Found out that I have $ just sitting in my Vanguard brokerage account that hasn’t been traded & will need to decide myself which funds to invest this $ — don’t have the expertise or time to do this Note: There are limitations for us at Big 4, since we’re audit firms
Thoughts on moving from Big 4 audit to Financial Advisory? Pay jump would be about 50%, but the new firm is small. $25M in revenue and new office in my city - I feel like there is a good amount of risk. I’m a S1 about to be a S2
Is it possible to leave as a B4 audit senior to a senior financial analyst at a fortune 100 company? If so are there any specific things to highlight on a resume to stand out?
Do most of the big 4 have a pension still for partners? I thought I heard most got rid of them recently.
Decision time: I got offered a position with EY and also got an offer from a mid-tier firm. The mid-tier is paying about $14k more than the Big 4. Is it wise to just not consider the pay difference and just go Big 4 to have it on my resume? I could negotiate but I feel like the answer will be no.
Interviewing for Big 4 Mgr level, 8 yrs total exp. for B2C Commerce....what comp is fair?
6 hour delay @ CLT Airport - If another frumpy woman in sweats and a puffy neck pillow hits me with her tacky rollerbag...
Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.
Hi everyone, so I am in need of advice.. I want to pivot into Data Analytics or BA but I have no experience.. I am taking the IBM data Analytics cert on Coursera to build up my resume. As a hiring manager or decision maker what would you like to see in someones resume? What are some courses I would need to take? Or how can I stand out? Like SQL or Python courses in Udemy?
(Cross posted in in-house bowl) Company approved me hiring my first (non-lawyer) direct report! Excited to cross this off my professional bucket list but I know hiring is the tip of the iceberg. What books, articles, general pro tips, etc. do you all recommend for "being a good boss" advice, esp. geared toward a first time boss?
Husband found out that his fed job that he was hired into with the promise that he’d receive paternity leave will not let him use his paternity leave because he hasn’t worked for government for a year yet. But baby arrived a few months before he started his fed job. Is he still eligible for paternity leave when he’s been at the job for a year?
Curious how being a ‘CISSP Candidate’ (passes the exam but doesn’t have experience requirements) would fair in a job search. Better to get years of experience requirement before looking, or is passing the exam enough?
I think we need to expand utilization metrics into audit sabermetrics. Monthly reports showing: Average expletives per audit Review notes per workpaper Average cry time per day What others are good?
Anyone getting denials on H1B extensions? I just got done with 3 yrs on H1, have I-140 & still got deniedon extension. Idk if it’s the lawyers screwing up or if it’s just the current administration...
For a non-technical PM looking to get more tech experience (and eventually exit) what is best use of time: data science course, web development course, AWS cert.?
Planning to apply to BCG. My buddy is an ‘Associate Director’ for BCG Platinion. Would a referral from him work if applying to BCG as a Generalist Consultant?
What to do when your counselor is also your stream lead on the project, and he wouldn’t let you roll off because you’re top performer. I’m over one year in on this multi year implementation project
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad

Has anyone ever been able to return to the same B4 they left with a PIP on their record? Curious if this has ever been done before and if a PIP is even a factor.
Wondering how much a Partner makes in Big 4 consulting? Is there really that big of a difference at the Partner level compared to MBB (starting 7 figure)?
