First job yes. Second job, depends on the company. MBB, depends on how long you’ve been out. McK asks for GPA up to 8 years. IB, yes. All other companies, no.
Of course it matters. It’s just not the only factor in hiring decisions. So, if you have great experience and have networked extensively with a target employer, then GPA matters less. But I don’t think it stops mattering generally until several years postgrad.
How do I put it in a good way then? And is 3.33 good? I might take it up to a 3.5 but I doubt I’ll get anything more.
If you are going to grad school, maybe, but it really just depends on your field and goals. Most of the time, the answer is no, but there are situations where it might matter. We don't have enough information to go on.
That being said, UTA is a great school! Congrats!
What do you mean “put it in a good way?”
As for the second q, it depends. If the average GPA at your school is a 3.0, then yeah 3.33 is pretty good. If the average grade is a 3.5, then not so much. Additional layer of complexity is how your gpa compares directly to others in your field. Hope that helps!
Sometimes it does to get your foot in the door at a place. After that first job, nobody cares about it. But that is not a bad gpa at all.
