I feel like it's Harvard and Stanford, then Booth and Wharton, and then everybody else
Booth is not superior to Wharton. Wharton has the best network, hands down.
I don't understand how anyone would pick Booth over Wharton
D1-I visited Wharton and then I visited Booth. People and culture and the program spoke for themselves.
Wharton is and will always be Wharton...saying Booth is Booth means nothing
Depends on goals and where you finish in class rank. Top student at another MBA program or middle of the pack of 800 students. Entrepreneur vs. Wall St vs strategy consulting or industry. I went to none of the 4 but got the best offers as competition was weak. There were 40 people from Stanford at Apple the day I went and 20 from the "other" MBA programs. They took 10 Stanford and 10 other. So you had to be the top 25% of Stanford or the top 50% of the others. Similar situation at Goldman and McKinsey. Didn't get the job I wanted at McKinsey but I would not have been top 1/2 of my class at any of those schools so not likely I would have gotten an offer that way either.
you typically compete against everyone so while your math is nice I wouldn't recommend going to a lower ranked school. Bigger fish in smaller pond just doesn't apply here unless you go work for a truly regional player. I agree to your point when it comes to getting beyond round 1 but that's just not enough
Personally I think Kellogg has the most likable people of any of the top schools. And we have a lot of of alums from there at the Firm and it makes it a lot of fun. I personally think that'd be one of the top schools for me alongside Harvard and Stanford for obvious reasons. I connected less with the Wharton and Booth students
Haven't heard good things about CBS or it's trajectory. Really behind in faculties and resources as well as job placement and recruitment compared to other M7 schools
Yes to Kellogg! In the end it's all about WHO you are and who you connect with 🙌
No one wants CBS now? Crying
