I’m only looking to lose the last stubborn 3 pounds or so in my belly/butt. I’ve been eating well and working out consistently, but been in a plateau.
Works if you are in a calorie deficit. IF just makes it a bit easier to do that if you are able to skip breakfast.
There might be some smaller benefits from hormone regulation or insulin response, but those effects will be small compared to the effect of a calorie deficit.
Yeah that is tough. If you’re plateauing already with IF you might just need to shrink portions a small amount (e.g. cut half the carbs out of your lunch) and keep dinner the same and see where that gets you.
You definitely shouldn’t just do 2 meals a day. Still have 3 meals but smaller portions. It’s much healthier for your body. I personally found it easier to not skip breakfast but have a light early dinner.

I wasnt intentionally doing intermittent fasting but wasnt eating all day until 8PM. I think all I managed to do was mess up my metabolism and gain weight.
Yes
I’ve been eating one meal per day in the past month or so and I’ve managed to lose about a pound per week so far.
Only if ur eating less. Eating the same tomorrow as today in that window will give the same results. It doesn’t matter the diet, it’s about the calories coming in vs. going out
Check out the Blake diet ...
So I did this religiously for a year, played tennis during summer months .... went to gym in the winter (max an hour - hr 30mins) ... was 285 when I started... now I’m maintaining 225. I’m back on the diet plan again... hoping to be at 195 by December.... let’s how the journey goes.

Yeah, it works. Make sure you stick to 16:8 for a few weeks atleast to see a tangible difference
It works for sure if you workout. Remember that to lose weight you must burn more calories than you consume per day
Two 500 calorie days a week and one 24 hr fast a week have both worked well when I just need a jumpstart. Do it for 2-3 weeks and it’ll stay off
Check Thomas Delauers videos on this topic. He talks about the specifics, do’s and dont’s

I think it depends, my boss tried it and it didn’t do much for him but I’ve heard success stories elsewhere
Weight goes out the way it came in, sort of. If your problem is excessive calories, IF will help you. If your last stubborn fat is for a different reason, it won’t. If your weight is already within normal range, and your metabolism is just fine, IF isn’t going to give you spot reduction.
May be you need specific workout regime? Have you tried Pilates?
