Def wondering if there were any talks of rescinded offers in US, given the economic situation.
And if nothing goes south, what's the current remote work situation like?
Yes it pays more, you have much more control over flexibility of your schedule, the field is growing and demand far outstrips supply, and there are many cushy exit opportunities where you can make a good salary and causally put in 40 hrs per week. The downside is, if you have an accounting background the areas you can pivot to are much more limited compared to financial audit. So it all depends on what you are looking for, if your focus is outside work and you want a flexible secure job with good WLB then IT audit. If you have your sights set on seeing how high you can climb in the corporate world, fin audit, get your cpa and pivot as a senior to finance/M&A.
Yes. Senior here making 105
This is the way 😭
Stay in financial audit. IT audit is a mess since engineers never respond and don't give a shit. Heres a song to explain it better.

Messes are were opportunities reside. Anything that is well structured and not going through changes won’t be as conducive to opportunities for growth.

Yes, but it pigeon holes you and is kind of boring. Especially for the first few years.
Yes, this is what made me hesitant to leave to financial audit lol
I mean long term, you are going to have a cap any time you’re a cost center.
