Does it grind the gears of anyone else in EY forensics to see your college counterparts in audit get promoted on a more set schedule than our practice? This year we have so many S4 and M4s and I can’t help feeling behind

No, it should be that way. We should not be promoting just because you have years of experience. You should have to prove your way to the next level. Otherwise, the firm will end up top heavy and be an up or out system.

I always thought it was ridiculous that audit and tax promoted no matter what. And I came from audit.

Not a lot happening with my brand at the moment. My CD told me to enjoy it while it lasts. But I want to try to make something good enough for my book with this extra time, since the brand I’m on just keeps the lights on here.

PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.

In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

I’d like to work for the FBI either as a Special Agent or Professional Staff as a Forensic Accountant. We’re not sure, please Mr. Forensic Accountant can you take a look at our QBs?”
Question: is this experience preferable to the FBI? Or do they prefer the AML professionals? CPA + CFE
