SMs who worked in big 4 in risk or reg compliance and left consulting, what were some of the exit options available to you that were not compliance related? Industry agnostic
At EY (or other Big 4 I guess too), what's the average number of years to go from senior consultant to manager in TAS?
B4 M&A Tax partners gotta bring in $1-2m a year. Agreed? Not including the new partners. HCOL
MBA/JD with CIPP and CISSP certs. 15 yoe in security/privacy consulting across verticals. Looling to make a change and move up from my job of 5+ years. Any ideas on comp for senior manager roles? Big 4 or boutique? tia!!
Why are the Big 4 considered to be the best places to work and best consulting firms? Other than prestige and brand I don’t understand why they’re consistently rated and regarded so highly
Serious question: how likely is it to lateral from a different big 4 into Deloitte's S&O practice. Also how's the bench there?
Partners, at B4 I’ve heard that after 10 years you become fully vested in the partnership. What all does that mean with regards to shares / other benefits (vs. say a 9-year partner)? Thanks!
Have any B4 new hires been able to use the $300 WFH credit that all other employees got this past year?
Current senior graduating in December 21. Go to a complete non-target but have multiple experiences at well known companies/banks on my resume. Current intern at a very well known tech company in their consulting arm… but have had zero luck on applications. Denied by big 4 through the top 10 for entry level development programs, BA, and associate roles. Had great connections a year ago, but since, they’ve all moved to industry…. What would you do?
Have around 2YOE in B4 consulting. Debating whether to apply to Bschool next year or recruit for MBB/T2 strategy consulting. What factors should I be considering? Interested in strategy for the skill set to be more marketable for PE or tech companies
Any Product Managers / Product Manager-adjacent people in canberra, working on operations modelling, business improvement? What companies other than the big 4 for this, in topics that are more in the engineering space than the ICT space?
Graduated in May, just accepted a full time offer at B4. Offer is only contingent on a bachelors degree. My masters is expected next fall but lately I’ve been feeling like what’s the point?? I went to school to get a job, and that’s what I did. Why am I still doing this homework???? Should I just drop the masters? :/
Are there staff/seniors/managers here that are looking to leave B4 and go to smaller/midsize public accounting firms? Or does everyone generally want to leave for industry?
Do you consider any of the “Big 4” accounting firms a business involved with securities regulation compliance consulting? The con compete section in my current employment agreement with my GRC firm restricts me from going to a “business involved with securities regulation compliance consulting”. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
Deloitte is temporarily pausing the PERM application. Just curious what is the condition of the other Big 4 or consulting frims？
I’ve been on H1B October 2019, expiring in 2022. I’m kind of clueless as to what happens next. Does my firm start the green card process soon because it’s been almost 2 years (ive heard/read you need to work 2 years before they do that at big 4). What does that entail and how long until the green card comes out after that? And when they renew my H1B for another 3 years is that a guarantee extension and not a lottery like the first one?
Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
Anyone have any advice on how to make my law career heavy resume appealing to a medical office as I am now in nursing school? I am looking to get some sort of part time job at a medical office in order to get some experience in the general field so I’m more marketable once it’s time for me to search for nursing jobs.
Why is the burnout/always working culture in public accounting so accepted? Why don’t these firms hire more people to staff the clients so we can have normal hours as well? How have accountants collectively not pushed back for 40 hour weeks year round? It seems like now is the time because public accounting is being exposed as you can see everyone leaving for industry for this reason.
I have an excellent resume but tend to be bad in interviews because I'm an awkward guy. Any tips on being less nervous in interviews?
Who decides the compensation for big 4 experienced hires? Is it the interviewing partners?
MBB folks on H1-B who recently switched to FAANG - did you run into any issues with visa transfer? My transfer has been filed and I’m a bit nervous about USCIS’ perception of consultants and the current sentiment around H1-B visas.
Recommendations for a standing desk converter? Not a full standing deck because I already have a desk I like. Prefer something that can hold a laptop and two monitor. And any other home office improvement suggestions are welcomed, too!
Do Deloitte and EY offer higher comp for Non-MBA masters degrees? Or is it like PwC where comp is same for all degrees that are non-target MBAs?
Does anyone know worklife balance or culture at Square? Debating an exit there and wondering what that may look like. I don’t know much about tech but is it safe to assume a tech company smaller than FANGG would still have good WLB?
Any good yet affordable last minute travel destinations? Based out of ATL Looking to do a weekend trip from June 11 - June 13

Do Big4/ACN/Slalom etc use MECE principles? Currently on a DD project and in our team room we are working on revising our approach to to be more MECE. I know MBB loves MECE Wondering about others
How do I switch teams or pursue another role at the firm? I’m a first year associate who just finished their first year at the firm. Do I just apply to an opening that I see? Also my RL quit this week so do I need permission from anyone to transfer? Or just apply to roles I like?
