Hi folks, having an offer of 21.4 CTC (19 fixed) from a service company CSS Corp
I have 4.8 YOE in automation testing and my current package is 11.25 fixed at Accenture
I feel the offer I've got is on the higher end for my yoe and skill, so would like to know till how much can I expect in product company and which company in particular for automation testing.

I'm on the same boat. 35, planning on applying to all top 10, go to whichever one accepts me just to have the letters after my name and gain more credibility (already doing work at that level). My only worry is that my cohort will be the younger generation, and I won't be able to build a strong network (already happened once as I joined the military straight out of high school).

36 is old to be a new consultant... and is more in the range of an executive MBA. Plus at BCG you could have PLs that are 26, which is not an ideal set up. Could you try to interview directly as an experienced hire if going for MBB? That would make more sense I think
Been thinking of doing this for 2-3 years now..I know it’s kind of now or never .:don’t want to do the exec ones as don’t think they provide the same level of career options if one wants to switch industries.. but then again, very little financial upside in the short term given what the starting salaries are post b school

You could be too experienced for what firms are hiring for. I've heard that's the case at some schools where highly-experienced students are struggling to compete with younger classmates. You better make a strong case for why MBA.
I’ve seen certain schools are pretty blunt about referring to executive mba programs even at 30/32. At 35 you’ll probably just get referred on. I know of one person over 34 in my program of 300 and he’s a 15 year vet
