Can one fail background checks due to inconsistent job titles that were verified, non of which is my fault. One of my ex-employers verified my job title as Vice President and not my actual Job title. The other verified me as Applications Operations Engineer which was not what I was. I have provided my contracts and payslips to prove my employment history and job titles. Should I be worried ?JPMorgan Chase
Didn’t really know where to post this: interviewing for a Operations VP role with Goldman Sachs on Monday. Any tips on some questions I might encounter? Good questions for the interviewer? 30 min interview. Then another on Thursday as well. Location would be in the Salt Lake City office.
Last year our raise percentage was super low due to the economics, this year it is expected to be much higher due to COLA. I would wait until performance review and then if it isn’t acceptable then talk to them.
I would wait until you have been there atleast a year. That is typically when I would ask.
It’s kind ridiculous the way they give raise and all that work you out him for only 1%
During a formal compensation review would be most appropriate and easier on the business from a budgeting standpoint but that doesn’t mean you could not make an ask over the course of the year. Companies do it all the time when employees have outside offers and they attempt to retain them by matching pay. My recommendation is build a compelling business case on why you deserve the raise and back it up quantitative data along with showcasing your successes.
