M2, what is the pre-MBA title?

In some ways yes but others no. Personally, having an MBA makes me feel more empowered to negotiate higher salaries, and have more confidence in myself overall if solely by having gone through group projects in school and learned how everyone is just faking it. Downsides are having a new set of peers to compete with, some of whom are already rich from parents. At work the expectations on you are also higher, a lot of times you’re just told to “figure it out.”

I don’t think this is in any way worse. More bargaining power + more challenges and upward opportunities = hell yeah!

Wait what? Genuine question here...

Advice: if you do not know what to do after your MBA, do yourself a favor and do not apply. I've seen too many examples of people trying to figure it out in their 1st semester, it doesn't work & you will be stressed out. Recruiting goes by fast, and you need to prep before you step your foot on campus.

I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.

26M making $155k base and about $185k TC at a large payments firm (Visa, MC, AmEx). I’m also 1 year away from promo which will probably get me to $210-220k TC. Do you think I still need an MBA? A lot of senior leaders in my team have 1 so I’m really not sure at this point. The opportunity costs are high, but I’m well aware of the long term benefits. I’ve also already taken the GMAT and gotten a 740. I’m an Asian male and find the hurdles that we go through for admissions a turn off as well.

Full-time MBA or EMBA? My company (EY) would pay for EMBA, but require me to stay with the firm for 3y post graduation; MBA would be on me and I have no more than 50k in my savings. The reason I am considering full time MBA is that I am not sure I want to stay in consulting, especially not in EY. Also, I am 30yo with 7y of experience and was recently promoted to a Manager. Any advice?

Question for you sales and saas guys. I work for a fast growing startup and we are billing around 200 K a month. I am in charge of the sales team and our CFO mandates that we collect ACH payment information on every agreement. The problem with this is we have to reel in micro deposit amounts from customers and it feels like herding cats. I’ve worked for three great tech companies and I’ve never had ACH nor have I ever paid for services with ACH. Is this a totally dated process?
