Hey folks, is it possible to negotiate salary at an MBB? For context, I have 8 years of experience (4 in consulting and 4 in industry) and have been offered a post-MBA role.
Hi All, what firm/position would you recommend for someone with 4 YOE from healthcare industry + MBA?
Considering MBA because I did liberal arts in undergrad, but already have McK and HYPS on my resume. From a pure learning and career advancement perspective, is an MBA worth it (e.g. to learn accounting theory, take industry-relevant electives, signal to future employers)? My sense is not really, but I worry about hitting a career ceiling in my 30s/40s without an MBA in a non-consulting corporate setting
Seeking advice from BCG fishes. Have my 1st rd case interview coming up. Any tips on best way to prep? Did case when joining Big 4 while back. Also what’s different for the 2nd rd case interview?
Any recommendations on RE investment/development short professional certificates/courses? MIT’s “Profesional Certifícate Program in Real Estate Finance and Development” seemed like a great fit, but I can’t make it work time wise.
Im a Senior Manager at a Consulting Firm and I have an MBA. I’m looking to learn more about data science, investing and development in RE.
Time wise I could easily take a couple of weeks off in July or take online courses. North East preferred!
There is a requirement in my team for a fresher MBA Graduate who can join immediately. Aggregate should be above 80% (CGPA > 8). Preferably familiar with or at least aware of basics of structured problem solving. Please DM or comment if you have any potential leads. Thanks, in advance.
MBA or CFA? I’d like to hear some thoughts/comparisons. I’m a rising Junior in college and am debating on which I should pursue after I graduate. Some relevant background information: BS Economics, Minor in Math, ideal career is wealth management. Thank you.
How do yearly raises for risk advisory at a firm like grant Thornton compare to the big 4?
Majority of LinkedIn posts I have seen from incoming MBA class at HBS and the likes have been people with 5-10 years experience for class of 2023. Why is that so this year and what happened to the 2-3 years category?
Stay at current lower tier firm for 72k or lateral move to Big 4 for 85k? In data and analytics as a consultant (not an engineer or scientist). Want to back to school for masters in CS soon.
Can anyone help reduce my stress lol. I’ve been studying for the GRE since June(3-5 hours a day) and using multiple study aids(ETS/third party/tutoring) and i’ve taken 3 practice tests in the 320-330 range. I’m worried since i’ve been hearing quant has gotten harder lately on the official exam. Any advice? My exam is in two weeks. Aiming for Rice/UT Austin/Vanderbilt MBA. ORM as well.
Strategy& I have a conversation with someone from the Enterprise Strategy & Value group though I'm told it's now all cross industry. Can someone explain the types of projects you'd be staffed on here?
Context: I worked for a startup post-MBA and now just consulting startups in the interim.
Why the big 4 gotta be so cut throat ? Damn. You gotta be on edge all day every day. Its like everyone and and anyone can turn on you at anytime.
Hey guys! Current 1Y at Wharton and am finding myself with a touch of spare time due to COVID. Know that now is a pretty stressful time for folks and am happy to answer any questions you might have about applying, school culture, academics, etc. Brief background for context: roughly average hard stats, experience in consulting / PE / startups, post-MBA goal is VC / growth equity.
How much are base rate bonuses and performance bonuses for PwC Senior Associates in their first year at firm with MBA?
What schools can I target with 3.94 GPA and 690 GMAT? Will have 4.5 years of B4 consulting experience at the time of application. Curious what schools since I higher GPA but lower GMAT.
I have a 16-month-old son and not a single mom friend. It feels so pathetic to write that. I'd love to find other moms so my kid can have playdates, but also so I can have someone to talk to, commiserate with, give advice, etc. Because of COVID, there isn't much opportunity to interact with other parents at daycare dropoff, and with classes and playgroups scarce, I'm not sure what else to do. Any tips or success stories? Or anyone in Brooklyn want to be friends?
I am a junior pursuing a bachelors in graphic design and web design. I would like to get a job in UX/UI. What should I be doing now so that I can get a job when I graduate? I would like to be earning at least 40k a year.

From what i have discussed, there is a onshore team and we need to coordinate with them .
Want some insight on the work culture, work life balance and learnings, and is it a good project to work with.
Would really appreciate any help! Thanks in advance.
Is it normal to have your leads/managers rarely check in with you? Once a week if I’m lucky? I feel like they trust me to do my work well but at the same time I feel like I’m given no support or feedback to improve
For any of you who have gone in house, how did you find the role? Has anyone moved with about 2 years experience? The billable hour model doesn’t work for me, but I enjoy legal work and think I would thrive in a setting with different metrics for performance.
Tax senior managers in the Bay, I am negotiating a salary and need a little current info. What was your starting senior manager pay ?
