What is the toughest challenge for a Consultant to transition from big 4 to MBB consulting? I was fortunate enough to get an MBB offer as an experienced Consultant and want to make sure I hit the ground running. Thanks! Bain & Company McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group
Can MBB alumni give referrals?
Folks who moved from MBB to a top-tier tech firm (E.g. FAANG): how does the talent compare between the two?
Anyone an experienced hire at MBB or know one? What was their experience like getting in?
I accepted an offer at Deloitte and start in three weeks. I am also in processes at another Big 4 and MBB. If I get substantial better offers from them, would it be crazy to leave D after a couple months? Start dates for other potential offers are Jan 3.
Are all roles at MBB highly travel oriented?
In a Big4 deal Analytics group that’s not premier with no path to partner... should I try to move to MBB/T2 to gain traditional consulting experience or try for tech/FAANG... I just wanna make money
What is the most “elite” life sciences shop? Thinking about switching bc of my passions but don’t want to lose the prestige of MBB
Joining MBB in Summit, NJ soon. I believe a lot of my projects will be in NJ as well. Is it doable to live in the UES?
Is anyone that is at MBB currently willing to do a mock case interview with me? It would be greatly appreciated. (Feel free to DM)
I recently received two offers: (1) Deloitte (S&O); and Accenture (Technology Consulting). Which would be more aligned to MBB/FAANG?
Too early to leave MBB after <1 year for a start up if you think it’s a good opportunity? Anyone with experience doing this? How easy is it to return?
Will getting 2 years of experience as a strategy & ops manager in financial services pigeon hole me in that industry. Not in love with the space but think it could compliment 2 years at MBB quite well. Not too eager to stay in consulting and get promoted
What route would you take any why? A) Stay at my "Tier 2" Management Consulting firm as a Partner with a good compensation X that is guaranteed and expected to gradually grow, but platou around 2x. B) Have an offer from an MBB firm with ~1.2x guaranteed comp over the next 2 years. After that more of get what you kill. C) Have another offer from "Tier 3" firm that is building management consulting arm with ~1.5x and very strong long-term upside as well. Appreciate your take on pros and cons.
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
Are there any types of consulting companies that are low in jargon/bullshit, have more confident employees, more willingness to be bold, etc.? Like aspects of MBB but the culture’s not a good fit
25. At MBB. Thought I wanted PE but I’m thinking FAANG PM type role might be better now. Ultimately I’d like to start my own business. Where are people who join PE 4-5 years down the line vs those who join FAANG?
WLB at MBB (including during COVID)? Thinking about moving over from Big 4 (at Manager or Associate level), but also don’t want to grind like I did in my 20s …since I’m thinking about becoming a new father in the next 2 yrs
What is the 401k match like at your firm?
Spent 4 years in consulting and doing a masters to get onto fancy AI/ML projects only to realize this is all just statistics!!!! Yet I still have to tell the client we have AI Algorithms vs saying I fit a linear regression model
What was your salary or total comp at 25?
Of the last 18 hours I billed, I have worked for 2 hrs, interviewed/applied to other firms for for 3 hrs and slept for 7. Prior to this behavior, I had a 4.5/4.5 scatter plot and 105% utilization. I make $5000 more than your new hire BTA, with 5 yrs of exp, and I was denied a market adjustment. You get what you pay for, D(an)
Hi 🐠🐟🐠 What’s the salary for an AE at Havas NY?
With 16 weeks parental leave at EY, 1yr no travel after after maternity for ACN, and all the distractions of workers with children, firms should show some love to the yeoman single or childless people

Wanting to apply for a role at LinkedIn, but noticed it asks if you are a Deloitte employee. Are they going to ask Deloitte for information or alert them in any way that I’m applying elsewhere?
In Amsterdam for the weekend! Any recs on best hotel to stay at (Marriott preferred) or things to see? Didn’t have much time to research so appreciate any tips you have
Career question. I want to eventually get to be Director or VP Strategy at a F500, and most of these roles say they require a M7 MBA. I currently have 3 YOE and have the opportunity to exit at the manager level in strategy. Will not having a MBA gate keep these senior levels from me?
To the folks that don’t want to get the vaccine, what is your reason? This seems like a strange hill to die on considering people losing their livelihood over this
Anyone here recently apply for a schengen visitor visa? If yes, can you please take me through your experience? Happy to DM if required!

Deloitte 🐠, I cleared an SM level interview process over a week ago and recruiter promised to send a written offer once it’s approved. I have not received the any written offer or communication in a week. Meanwhile another Deloitte team just reached out for similar role but different vertical. Do you think I should interview with the new team? Deloitte
