I’ve lived in my apartment for 3.5 years now. Usually I sign a lease renewal yearly so I have to stay till the end of my lease. 6 months ago I didn’t sign the contract even tho they did mail it to me, but I continued to pay the rent. My question is if I move out now, would I be penalized for leaving 6 months early even tho I didn’t technically signed the lease renewal promising to stay for 6 more months?

I used to be passionate about my firm’s people. Loved coaching junior folks and paying it forward with all the great mentoring I received early in my career.
