Hmm, I think posting this in the Facebook/Tech bowl might help reach the target audience better.

How do I find that bowl? When I search for it nothing comes up.

I don't think so? I haven't heard much for remote employees. But I don't know why you would have to be fully vaccinated if you aren't going in to the office.

I didn't think I was underpaid, but apparently I am at 90k + 20k, but I absolutely love my team and projects.
Recruiters are reaching out with remote opportunities ranging from 130k to 150k base (similar bonus). I really don't want to leave my current team. What's the best way for me to leverage for a higher base in my current role, without stepping on toes or damaging relationships? I know it won't jump to 130k, but a nice boost would really cut down on my FOMO.

Does a new joiner get WFH setup allowance? I just got an offer but it is not written there.

If firms go exclusively remote, I have zero reason to remain living near “home office”. Likelihood we’ll shift to that model, and can live wherever?

Did any one else’s firm just not engage with them during the majority of the WFH period? While when the lock down first happened we had a few zoom get togethers, they quickly disappeared. I’m only a first year and while my practice group ended up being pretty busy I had been hoping for more engagement from partners/senior associates. While I would set up calls and they would say yes, I can’t help but feel ignored by the lack of outreach. Am I asking too much to expect at least a monthly checkin

I want to build a stronger relationship with my boss. We get along really well but we are both autonomous so I don’t need my hand held and he isn’t babysitting. He doesn’t even feel the need to have a 1:1 bc I do so well just meeting my deliverables lol. I am 100% remote in a diff state so going into the office isn’t a viable option but I kind of would like to see if I could go once a month or something to build a stronger relationship. Thoughts??

Someone posted something earlier that brought back awful memories for me. I'm from the Caribbean, living and working in the UK. Well educated and capable. Yet at my old job, if I joined in a conversation one of my colleagues used to say things like, "Wait - the men are talking. Wait your turn." Or even worse, "Hang on, all I heard was, Blah blah blah coconuts!" Or the same colleague would repeat something I said in a hammy Jamaican accent - I'm not Jamaican anyway. Annoyed just remembering it!

Hello All! I was wondering what your experience has been with recruiting forms. Does your company have paper forms that hiring managers need to complete? Or is your process fully digital? If digital, what software do you use? Is it built in the HRIS or externally? We are trying to figure out best practices for forms that require multiple signatures such as a New Position Request. Thanks for any input you can provide!

My company is in need of a update online, could use your opinions! We need to better showcase our culture (caring, supportive, fun, intelligent IT industry leaders) as well as diversity. I don’t want to seem disingenuous or that we are singling out our diverse employees (asking for photos). We have a remote and on-site workforce about 350+ EEs. Non white EEs make up about 35% of the company rn.
