Hi Fishes, I got an offer from Infosys and my joining date is on March 1st. . Since my current employer didn't accept my resignation as I was in emergency leave, I will need to serve notice period until April 1st. . Will Infosys postpone my Joining date by a month considering this valid reason. Please share your thoughts to take this decision!!! Thank you in Advance!!Infosys

Yes, listen to the language in the offer. If they say this is their offer and they are not going to negotiate, then that’s it. Don’t try to negotiate.
Agree on this.
It didn’t. I accepted and got 20k more
Yes. Negotiated once and the company never came back. Later on they told me that they found someone junior with half the money.
That’s fine. Dodged a bullet if they don’t know what they need and wanted to penny pinch on a role. Probably wouldn’t have had realistic expectations either.
Definitely make sure to research and know your market value, but if a firm takes away your offer for trying to negotiate, I wouldn’t go anyways. They probably wont be willing to negotiate your raises/bonus once you get hired.
Usually not. Big companies are much less likely to pull the offer than smaller companies. This assumes that they have given you a written offer letter already, and are not playing the "accept verbally before we give you a written offer" game.
If they say “this is our final offer” don’t negotiate further
It depends on the company, their budget, how many people are going out for the same role, etc. Certain roles that you might be hiring a lot of people for could have the same starting offer to ensure equity, but more niche roles or roles with few applicants likely have room to negotiate.
Only if you ask for something ridiculous.
Like most the answer you will get is it depends
