Mainly networking. A lot of people I know do part time MBA’s just for the credential/advance career in their current industry. If you’re looking to switch, you might want to consider full time
I have looked at this a lot. There are a few factors, the benefit of part time is that you can still work while going to school however as noted above it may be worth it to just power through your MBA is 2 years and aim to get the job you want at the end of the schooling rather than always trying to juggle your current job with what you want to do with your degree.
If you are like most people, taking 2 years off of work to go back to school may not be very feasible, especially when you factor in the opportunity cost of lost wages.
On the flip side, if you really want to get into a finance or IB role you could come out making a lot more money and have a very bright future for earnings, higher than in PA
Yea but EMBAs are so expensive.
Sine you mentioned trying to pivot in your career, full time also gives you the opportunity to do an internship in the type of role you want to switch to, which is helpful when recruiting at the end vs doing part time and only getting more experience in the role you want to get out of.
Thanks a lot!
