Hi folks, It's been 22 days since I joined birlasoft. But still I have not been mapped to any project and in induction I have been told this hiring is done based on an already existing requirement. Is it common to not get mapped after these many days of joining? Please share your experience!!! Birlasoft

Problem is recruitment, when are you going to recruit for MC/Strategy jobs?
Probably after I'm done with 75% of the coursework
It might be difficult recruiting against Full time students... are you going to a top school?
Yeah, when do you think I should apply for such roles?
Disclaimer, I'm not an MBA graduate, I'm trying for full time because I couldn't see a way to making the switch to Stratrgy. The problem lies entirely with recruitment, I've heard MBA recruitment is very hectic so PT students have to be laser focused on landing the job while doing their old job and making it to class. Secondly, PT students can't try for internships, so they can only go for full time roles and as you'll be switching careers, you'll probably have a tougher time at it than say a Full-time student. Additionally, are the school career services going to help you as much as they do for a full time student?
You've probably already though about all of those but that these reasons we're what stopped me from applying to part time. If you're going to grad in April then perhaps apply during August/Sept/October ?
Thanks p1, I'm planning to talk to partners within the firm first and make a move laterally. And since I'm a SA and mba recruits come in as SAs, I hope it's not a big transition
I was going to say, if you were okay with staying within the firm then I think job hunt/transition might not be as bad.
