Does Seyfarth Shaw LLP offer benefits like meal program, commuting expenses, expensing rides home after certain hours, etc.? Also, any talk of the firm increasing the associate pay scale? They seem pretty far behind. Have heard good things about culture though.

Great culture. They do offer those benefits: a stipend for dinner if working in office late, reimbursement for Uber/cab if working in office late, no commuting expenses for regular hours. They are considering increasing the pay scale and will likely do so (not a matter of “if” but “when”). But, they won’t go to 215. It’ll be 205 scale. And not every office is going to be on that scale.

Thank you so much! This is great insight. Everyone I’ve spoken with on the team has been equally kind and helpful. I see a trend! ☺️

Hi, I am an expat living in France and working as an IT consultant. I got an experience here that recruiters insist on disclosing my current salary. Is it a norm in France? Do you reply how much you earn? To me it seems absolutely inappropriate and irrelevant. I can respond what are my future salary expectations. I refuse to tell how much I make now, and then recruiters say that they can't proceed with my application without this information. WDYT?

Kind of niche question here but under NY CPLR, if a plaintiff files a MTD/MSJ, and then the defendants file opposition papers containing information that the court had previously ordered to be kept under seal, would you a) file a reply asking to seal/strike the opposition papers or b) file a separate OTSC since you’re now seeking additional relief not sought in the original motion?
