If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

It presents different challenges. There are different pressures at each level, but you have more tools as you progress. I would say it became more flexible for me and I had more control, but days were as stressful or worse. Left in January and I haven't looked back, though I don't regret the time I spent in B4.
Echoing RA director 1, it's a totally different ballgame once you get to management. There is more flexibility for sure, but also a lot more on your shoulders. For myself as manager, I have actually found it less stressful because ultimately I am (mostly) in control vs as a senior needing a good manager/director to provide the proper support to alleviate some of the stress.
Yeah I can't decide if the increased flexibility outweighs the increased stress. It also seems like depending on the client the "increased flexibility" might not even exist
I'm in tax but what kind of company did you leave for?
I went to a large bank to do risk management. I agree with the above, but here's the rub, you're probably more reliant on your team doing a good job than you were reliant on your mgr/director. If your team doesn't get their shit done or quits you're up a creek. Can't brute force it as a mgr/dir.
