I’m so early in my career (23yo) and did not graduate from a target school (never even considered consulting until grad school), but I’m a damn good consultant and know with absolute certainty I would excel in MBB. Why do I feel like its impossible to break in to MBB without a pedigree or 10 years of industry experience?

Have any vets here been able to join MBB at the post-MBA level with only an undergraduate degree? I have anecdotally heard of this being done before, however the person who made it happen was an officer. For context, I'm a prior enlisted SOF vet with a little under 10 years of service currently finishing a summer BA role with M. The difference in comp between BA/A/AC and ASC/Consultant is staggering, so I'm wondering if the possibility is there before I sign a full time offer as a BA with M.
