Does the CFA open doors for you in a similar way to an MBA? Or is it fair to say an MBA gives you much wider breadth in career possibilities

CFA on business card only impresses me if it’s printed in raised lettering.

Even within finance MBA can go into research, banking, corp fin etc. CFA is mostly just for research and asset mgmt.

like

@ib assoc 1, yes yes they do.

like

I should clarify, talking about within finance

Everyone has an MBA, CFA actually sets a standard. Also, you can’t put MBA on your business card, only CFA. So you decide what you think is better. If you are already in the industry, you just need to work more on networking.

I don't care if CFA is printed on your business card.

Hello,
I am in my late 20s currently in a career transition from teaching to consultancy. I am interested in consultancy jobs within the international development industry that would also allow me to travel. However, I do not have any relevant experience. I speak French and have a background in business and Political Science.
Any advice on how to break into the field with no experience?
Thanks in advance!

In need of some advice… feeling very discouraged. I’m no. 2 in charge and my function and salary is that of a VP (I work for a brick and mortar ASC/physician practice, as well as a telemedicine company). However, we are a small org and don’t use titles like that. I’m trying to move forward and expand into larger healthcare organizations, however I feel I’m being rejected before my resume is even reviewed because of my job title. Any recommendations? Am looking for something I can study and stick with it long run. Thanks 😊.

Found a random engagement ring.

Hi all, so I found a platinum ring (which I assumed it's an engagement ring as it has dates and initials engraved on top.) And a Divvy tag (I have no idea what it was until I googled it. Apparently it's a bike sharing service in Chicago) in a briefcase I ordered online. I was thinking of returning the item back to the store but that wouldn't help the person who lost the ring. Attached is a picture of them.

What should I do now?
