Does the risk assurance practice teach you our to use SQL and other data analytics tools? Thinking of switching from core

I recently (July) switched from core (A3) to risk (S1). So far the training I’ve received are Vantage and learning on the job. Agree with what RSM 1 said, it’s been ITGC testing

like

Become a digital accelerator brah.

Have a bunch of friends doing Risk Assurance at PwC - short answer is no. You’ll be testing IT general controls. If you’re trying to get more into IT it might be a switch that makes sense- it’ll be hard to switch into data analytics with a core audit background, IMO.

You’re gonna have to each yourself that stuff then start using it and demand for your time will spread

Risk assurance is much more than testing IT general controls RSM 1 🙄🙄🙄🙄. If you’re in the analytics group (not process assurance) in RA then yes you learn analytics tools
