Can you expand on the question🧐
What is neurodiversity from a corporate perspective?
The post is still there, sitting right under your question!
KPMG1’s question is specific and elicits an appropriate response. Broadly, it’s companies that take mental health seriously, and recognize it’s importance at par with other debilitating conditions.
In some cases, it includes specific recruitment programs designed to help a broad range - from those on the spectrum through to suffering from depression.
Skills aside, roles and accommodations are provided based on the nature and intensity of the condition. E.g.
- One could be a star performer, but may need time off for treatment occasionally.
- Some may be great at certain types of programming such as finding patterns in big data, but may struggle to do other associated tasks
If my company isn't doing super well with women or underrepresented minorities (in the context of the USA), I would doubt neurodiversity is seriously considered.
However, if a high performer needs formal work accommodations, FMLA or something else similar, that can be arranged.
Understood, from what I know GT is not that bad. They are at least trying on some fronts. It’s hard for that big a firm to change overnight.
Of course not.
Ah, thanks.
