Simple legal or jira work well for this.

We use Monday (www.Monday.com) with separate boards/intake forms by business unit. Easy to assign tasks to team members, and you can create sub-groups within a given business unit board to track where a given matter is (e.g. queued up, working on it, waiting on third-party) - all fully customizable.

We use servicenow, but it leaves a lot to be desired

We use Jira

We also use Jira

We got a module made in salesforce. It’s great, because we gate them into a dozen different categories of asks (with ETA’s for standard turn around time) and then they have to fill out a custom form with required fields. We tweak it based upon feedback to add/remove fields as needed. But it helps us track asks that come through, how long it takes us to respond, the business partners can’t give us incomplete information. Gives us good metrics to give management for why we’re useful (how many tasks completed and allows us to clap back by showing in real time how many balls we’re juggling) and trains business partners the information they need to provide.

Use Asana. It’s pretty good when used correctly

Bit suprised by the aggressive bid this evening. Is the market setting up for a suprise sell. TD Sequential on a daily basis shouts YES. Last time we did this, had a huge down day. Basically, up for 8-9 straight closes, then 4 closes later, if still higher than these early closes, sell. That's the setup. It worked in June. Will it work now? I know I said bullish; but I think at this level, you have to be short just to see whether the bulls can save it at that HWB long at 3132.00.

Any thoughts on accepting a large gift ($300k) from in-laws for a down payment on a house? We are close and mostly get along well but there have been some issues in the past with boundaries and I don’t want this to seem like an invitation to disrespect our choices/decisions. It sort of feels stupid to say no, but I also don’t want to feel like I’m living in someone else’s house.

What law firm is your favorite for run of the mill employment issues in the US and internationally (India, Australia, UK, Germany, etc.). I primarily use Littler because they have a broad reach and decent rates but I’m wondering whether Bird & Bird, Ogletree, or some other firm has similar pricing and as good or better quality work. So, who are you using and are you happy?

This is a kind of funky question but I need as many ears as I can get - are you still doing safeguard forms or symptom check forms in your offices? How is your RTO process evolving from a legal protections standpoint?

I'm currently in house in a mix of compliance/legal. Senior management wants me to take less responsibility for things and pass them onto other people who really should be doing them.

However, it's usually quicker, better done, and easier if I just do them and it gets it off my plate faster. How would you deal with this stuff?

Newly in-house. Apparently, it was bad to offer my opinion that slightly differed from the managers, even though I was invited by said manager to review their suggestion with an internal client. We collectively discussed how to make a document better. I responded to an email that said "hey you and internal client - could you both see my suggestions (which differed from the clients). Internal client didn't really agree, so I said "can we add managers edits but keep some of clients edits"

I accepted a new job back in the summer of 2020 that required relocation for the office opening in Jan 2021. Office is still closed and I haven’t moved. Now we are rolling out a new plan that you just need to be near an office but only go in a few times a year for specific things. There is an office close that wouldn’t require me to move and I’d prefer to work there given the situation but HR is still insisting I’ll eventually need to move. This is so silly 🙃
