Yes. Anything over 90 minutes.
I have always booked bus and billed difference to project in the exceptions B1 mentioned
Accenture CDO SM, frequent international traveler. Any international trip beyond total of 8 hours qualifies. Domestic or shorter international doesn’t. For example , if you flew just flew JFK to Mexico non stop it wouldn’t qualify but if you transit via JFK and the total trip duration is greater than 8 it would qualify.
Must be SM+, flight must be >6 hours
Oh... I’ll just pretend I never saw this post then
Yes, over 3 hours
You get an email from them when you qualify and then get put on a spreadsheet. It takes a few months once you hit it. 120 nights of 85k miles in 365 day period. You can book using the Amex portal however it won’t let you for a while even after you get the email.
I just flew to India on economy. 26 hours and no business class. It's purely project expense budget dependent.
So basically MBB+EY = great policy and ACN+D+PWC/S&+ everyone else = shitty policy (from an employee benefit perspective)
Until you make MD then apparently it’s all more or less the same
Any project work or BD with responsible Partner approval. Over 9 hours intl or something similarly ridiculous for internal.
BCG is pretty clearly the best
7+ hours international, any level, just need project approval
I think over 8 hours - any level.
EY1 is somewhat right. The other requirement is to be classified as a Frequent Traveler. In addition, if you are in a client engagement you better confirm with the engagement manager that the budget will support it as well. In my experience, you don't get to leverage this policy without causing waves. Better have status and get an upgrade.
If partner, flights over 4 hours. For everyone else, international flights
ACN MD, >3 hours
Yes, we can book one class higher than economy (business or first) for flights over 3.5 hours, unless the flight is booked on an internal charge code (training, client development, etc.). Exceptions require ED approval
Damn, that’s awesome. Perks of MBB
EY allows it for international, excluding Mexico Canada or Caribbean, to qualify for anything else you need to be a frequent traveler meaning over 80 miles in a 12 month span or a 120 nights, but you still may get the shaft depending on budgets
OP - EY’s policy is just as useless since everything is project budget dependent. Good luck finding a project that let’s you charge business fares every week
