My company pays for our gym memberships, they also have in house therapist that we have access to anytime (with appointment) and it is paid for by the company. We also get random mental health days.
Wow, that is awesome to have paid gym memberships. As well as access to an in-house therapist ( I love this).
My previous company did. They used better space a website were you could do yoga or meditation. Work at a remote site through better space.
My current company has a wellness committee. A lot of holiday/ birthday/ anniversary celebrations, mental/ physical awareness. Wind down hours. Weekly newsletters an hosts an anonymous real talk hour.
That's awesome that both your companies take an active role in noticing and recognizing your wellness.
Wellness Program is typically bundled as part of our benefits. This also attract a potential candidate for us.
Yup.
We offer our employees a free Gym membership, we have done yoga/meditation, offer incentives for donating blood or flu shot, every Wednesday we do a “Wellness Walk” and walk about a mile which is nice because it get people away from their desk and we also have nutritional speakers come to the office as well.
That's cool, to get away from the office. Do you guys walk even on rainy and cold days? Can you go to any gym and is there a maximum amount?
We offer wellness days and reimburse some expenses, but nothing extravagant. I wish we would offer gym memberships
I know gym memberships would be awesome as well as for some nutrition counseling as well.
Our company has recently implemented financial assistance for mental wellness services to aid with work-related stress.
Wow, that is awesome, glad your company is investing in people's mental health and not making it a negative stigma. I wish more people and companies would take that approach. Ones mental health and wellness is so crucial for the workforce and being productive.
As far as I know, we are only granted gym memberships. I'm grateful but I don't really get to use is because I don't have the time. Maybe it would be better if we are asked about our personal preferences on a wellness program.
Gym memberships are great. I agree asking employees what they want would be a great idea and a great incentive. Try though to make some time to go to the gym even if it's for only 20 minutes a day or even try to go for a walk, you'll be surprised how much better you will feel.
We paid for wellness days (e.g., a random activity up to the person or an item) and we offer Headspace/Calm and other subscriptions
I am glad to start to see more and more companies starting to offer wellness incentives but it still doesn't seem like a lot. I thought a lot more would be nowadays.
