Interesting read. I had no idea this was happening until a friend from FL told me it saved a friend's life and had him go from sick to golfing rapidly. Interesting read.

We used to give students agenda books. Before we went 1 to 1 with laptops, students used their agendas to keep track of assignments, assessment dates, etc. Now that students all have laptops, they tend to use reminders, Google docs, etc. to remember things, so we don’t give them agendas anymore
We have both 1 to 1 laptops and agendas for our students. They write in homework daily and some have accommodations to have them signed daily. It is a key communication piece for us and parents. Plus if they leave the classroom they have a pass written at the bottom. They get 3 a day so you don’t have kids wondering around the hallway.
We gave both this year, but it is also their first year having 1 to 1 laptops
With 1 as o 1 laptops and using google classroom, agendas are no longer necessary
We are not one to one computers. Our school orders agends. Last year we gave them, this year students had to buy them at cost because we didn't have a funding source. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure they are worth it. We are 5 weeks in the school year and some kids have already lost them and others don't bother to write in them.
We have them and they aren’t worth it if it’s not compulsory. Personally I don’t check them because I allow students to take pictures of their work on the board. Also, we are one-to-one. I think it would be prudent to instead show students how to use digital planners.
