Does your school have a support system or a program in place to welcome new families to the district. To answer any questions - help them become familiar with the school, etc. Or does your district rely on the parent teacher organization to take that role on?

Signing bonuses for “analyst” level Q!!!
I have 5 years experience and received offer for data analyst role with $110K salary , 10% annual bonus, and $2,000 signing bonus. It is an advisory firm. My team would do data analytics / business intelligence reporting for financial services companies. Based in Denver. Salary + annual bonus is slightly above ($10K or so) glass door / LinkedIn etc estimates. Is the signing bonus fair? Can’t find much research on signing bonuses!

I have been reviewing professional resume services. I feel stagnant in my current position ( HR associates-contract) and have been in this role for 10 month. I currently have an offer from both IBM and TCS for database developer role. IBM's package is a slightly less than what TCS has offered. While my plan is to join TCS but i have no clue about what project/account i will be onboarded to. I am very much comfortable in my current organization and they have agreed to match the IBM offer. Hence, i am slightly confused.

I've been in manual testing for 80% of my career. Despite attempts to transfer into a more code-centric role, I never got the opportunity to do so. Now that I'm in a management role, I feel like it's too late to enhance my programming skills.

Have you ever started a recruitment process only to get an offer and negotiate your salary? I like my job, it has its small issues, but I’d like to stay for a while. The problem is that i feel underpaid. I got contacted by this recruiter, I could increase my salary, get stocks, currently I have none, for less responsibility.However, that company is not aligned with my values and it’s unlikely I’d be happy there. I’m worried about the risk of my current employer not wanting to negotiate.Any tips?

WSB literally saved GME, it’s pretty nuts. So for those that made $$ congrats but it’s just luck, you ain’t a genius. And to all the novice investors on this bowl, GME is as big as an anomaly that can exist in the market. Don’t follow stocks blindly like this as you can be burned bad.
What’s wild about GME’s current valuation is that they can just issue equity and payoff all their debt now (recall this company was almost filing for bankruptcy)...

Hi folks. Havent updated my CV for a while so wanted to make sure im doing this right.
Do you mention quantitative results in the CV or do you elaborate it only on the cover letter?
Example: I want to say the tools I helped to implement generated 1M/year in savings.
Do I say on the CV „implemented digital tools to increase efficiency and decrease costs“ or can I be already specific and say something like „generated 1M savings per year through smart tools implementation“?

Sitting here drinking a white claw when I see my cat Bootsy watching me *very* intently. Reminded me of the end of last school year when I noticed a student discreetly recording me while I was eating my lunch. I saw her sitting there in her seat with the face of her phone angled in such a way that it appeared that the camera lens was aimed at me. "Are you recording me?" She put her phone down and murmured an affirmative. So sketchy. Have you ever had a student recording you discreetly?

So I think that everyone should have a Bill of Rights refresher course for our back to school PD. So many are confused about the first amendment and their “freedom”.

I am fed up with parents not making appointments for conferences and just showing up. Parents have communication from me by paper and electronically. This is unprofessional. I can’t just show up at my doctor’s office and expect to see her.

So, I'm just curious to know why there's such a negative stigma behind EC services. It's not only from students, but teachers as well. I've had teachers say that they didn't think kids should be pulled out bc they'll feel singled out and didn't want them to be seen as associated with EC...Wth?! Is there something wrong with having an honest conversation about what kids need to be more successful? I feel like if it wasn't so taboo and people genuinely understood, we could change that. Just a rant
