I mean sure. My spouse and I have the same bank accounts and pay all our bills from it. There's no "his and hers" when it comes to stuff like that😆
We will after we clean up our individual debts.
Usually in my experience people file taxes separately, enrolled in REPAYE or similar and payments should be low enough to be handled by whoever holds the loan. If the goal is to actually pay off the loans then that’s like CC debt or similar and should just be discussed accordingly
I saved up to pay for all my education and student loans. He has credit card debts that is working to pay off. After we are both clear of our own separate debts, we will have joint accounts.
The only real drawback to bringing debts to a joint account is if someone high tails it and leaves the debt w/ the other party in the joint account, right? Or if they withdraw all the funds, which leaves the other party with no money to pay the debt?
