Study his current clients... are there any niches? For instance I overtime attracted pharmacist clients once I had 5 I saw that as a niche and reached out to more.... build a year long plan of doable actionable items... we got white glossy folders with our picture on them in the corner and brochure talking about what we do... we give them out at every opportunity so they are laying around people's houses for their friends and relatives to see...
In your situation work within the book; you have enough to get there from current relationships. Permission to call beneficiaries and trusted contacts to explain their roles and give a blurb about what they do; see if interested in quarterly market updates and add them to the email list. Ask their biggest compliments and frustrations w current advisor if they have one. You should be able to build a good bit from those conversations alone and spend next to nothing.
