Is this a sensible trajectory?
2 years out of undergrad -> 2 years at a startup -> MBA -> industry management role or VC (unsure about post-MBA plans)

My consulting experience is cost cutting focused for companies in industry, would a startup role make sense next to broaden my experience to learn more about growth/innovation? Idk what stage but likely not an established company & probably a strategy/biz dev role?

Need opinions! Was having a hard time jumping from ER to Corp Dev (despite 10+ years experience and an MBA), so I took a hybrid FP&A role doing the modeling for a Corp Dev team in industry. Actually getting some deal experience as well, but that’s mainly just the modeling. I’m worried I won’t be able to move to a director position unless I can take a bigger role on deals. Does having a PMP certification hold any water in digital media? Do folks care? I’ve been using PMI resources to help solve problems / improve stuff at my org, and I’m tempted to get the full cert but I’m not sure if it’d actually mean anything / have a meaningful impact on my career or pay.

It’s not a huge investment in time or money but if it doesn’t have much of an impact I’d rather just keep reading free resources online on my own time

I got Full-time MBA admits at Smith(Queen University) and Ivey (University of Western Ontario).
I have 5 years of prior experience in tech consulting - HR Information Systems (SuccessFactors) at Deloitte USI and thinking about staying in the Human Capital field.
Is there a difference in how your firms look at these programs? Any other specific things to consider for an international candidate while making the choice?

At each increment/appraisal management giving excuses for not giving a good hike they say kindly add more degree/certification to your profile
Why don't they advise these thing the whole year

They only give more n more load of work during the time and say take more responsibilities do work independently the more experience you have the bigger your ctc will be but things change
