Done with my first audit busy season and I don’t think audit is for me. I want to switch over to tax. What steps should I take?

With a referral is it possible to get into Strategic Finance at a start up? 4-5 YOE in business strategy and PnL ownership, analysis etc. but no real Finance/Accounting experience so wondering if it’s even feasible?

I have close to 2 years of experience in web analytics and I have an offer in hand to work in the same domain. (Offer from a Big 4 and relocation)

I don't think I would want a career in this as I feel it would require coding at some point which I don't want to.

On the other hand, I'm looking to switch my domain into Product Management.. currently don't have any offer or experience related to PM role.

I'm confused if should I go with the offer in hand or wait till I get a PM role.

What’s the nicest way to follow-up with somebody?

Am I understanding utilization rate correctly? It’s chargeable time over total time? Charged 40 hours and had 10 hours non-charge so my utilization is 80%? If so, wouldn’t it benefit me to understate non-charge hours so my utilization is higher since they only really care about chargeable time anyways? Charge 40 hours still but only put 5 hours non-charge for utilization to be 89% instead of 80%? Or am I misunderstanding how utilization works?

Senior here - I’ve now been contacted by 3 out of the 5 FAANG, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman. I’ve ignored all of them but am I just disillusioned by public? Did I drink too much of the kool aid?

A non profit just asked me how they can somewhat reduce the risk of employees stealing from them when they have foreign employees that work overseas in largely cash economies and may not receive receipts.
