Don't mean to be political. Does anyone understand why the justice system can be so unfair? 45 just got asked to simply pay back $2m he embezzled from charities. U or I would be in jail for much less.
Any lessons learned you can share on a successful resignation? Things to do beforehand? How to best navigate the conversation with your PML?
I hate age bias. But I fear staying in CD roles at ad agencies will lead to be stressing to find freelance work when I’m 45 or so. I know Cannes winners 40+ out of work. Client side seems safer.
If most of us start to work remotely due to wider spread of Coronavirus, will this be an opportunity to challenge (or “revolutionize”) the in-person /travel model of consulting?
Boomerangs - Did you get a raise when you boomeranged back to your old big 4 firm? If so, how much? Tips to negotiate.
This might be an unpopular opinion but I am going to say it. Women expecting equal salary, equal opportunities for promotion etc. do not expect men to pay for dates, open the door etc. Women can also do that. Lead by example and drive the change please.
What is the entry level salary for cybersecurity consulting in Chicago? RSM is $62K for college grads. Seems low.
I just got let go. Joined about a year ago and had a rocky first few months. Built network, greater than 100% utilization and exceeded the last three snapshots. What do I do during this process?
Ugh no pay increase and then only 2.5k YE bonus. Seems underwhelming; are there no YE increases if you get promoted in summer? As a staff, we got pay bumps every 6mos.
My brother is a mechanic with 10+ years experience but was laid off due to COVID. He's having a hard time even finding jobs to apply for and asked me for advice. I don't even know what someone can do without a degree. He has valuable hard skills but I just don't think there's a demand in NYC right now. Should I advise him to go to school? He'd have to fully finance his degree and I'm just not sure if it's worth it for him to start over at the bottom, or what industry he'd even fit in...
Hi All! Just received a promotion but not sure I’m getting paid fairly. Based on your experience, how much should account supervisors be making in nyc ?
I’ve lost the passion I once had for my job (account) due to the complete chaos on the account (client & agency). Every other day someone is fired on the acct. Any tips on how to get my mojo back?
I’m tired of how projects throw away analyst like trash. Client didn’t sign SOW (no $) and leadership has been assuring us for weeks, and confirmed extension with HR, etc. Feels bad. Thoughts?
Anyone else feel like there is a culture of fear in their firm? There are so many problems but I’m worried that I’ll get laid off if I tell leadership about them and/or speak up. I only feel empowered to speak up in anonymous settings and even then I’m still paranoid about being exposed and my firm doesn’t take anonymous comments seriously.
