Ok so I've read or heard about layoffs recently from all big four except KPMG (obviously with the worst being at Deloitte and PwC and then some at EY in specific teams or sectors). Continued below:

How is the morale in your groups especially with constant layoff news in the market?

Anyone here ever worked under a senior or supervisor that made them feel like they can’t do the job right or always making mistakes ? And might get fired ?

How soon should you reach out to coworkers who were laid off to express condolences and offer to help? Any other thoughts on reaching out?

Not sure if this is the right step but I’m a little desperate since I was laid off about a month ago and now finally landed a PM interview. As part of the process, i have to complete a take home assessment, which I have completed. Will it be possible for someone here to review my assessment and give feedbacks before I present it to the hiring manager so that I get all corners covered? It would be a HUGE help. Thank you!

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

Wondering how Accenture is doing with layoffs? Is it a viable company to consider?

Would you recommend I take a project mgmt role at Meta under a 9 month contract for 60/hr or stay at a role that has potential with nearly no possibility of getting laid off? My fear is that the economy gets worse and I’m stuck after the 9 months.

Current comp is 40/hr. I could probably get a promotion around Dec 2022-April 2023 bringing my comp to around $100k salary (potentially more). I’m 24, 4 YOE, and this contract would be with Collabera with Meta as the client.

Need an advice. Started my career in 2018 working with PwC which was contractual job. Then got into Accenture that too was a contractual and lost that job due to COVID layoffs. Then got an opportunity in British telecom. Worked there for 18 months after that switched to Genpact. Here's my history.
Now the thing is the process for which I was hired in Genpact was ramped down and I am in different process with completely different domain. I am not getting that job satisfaction. What should I do?

Labor Law question: my husband works for a company that has a union. (Michigan-right to work state). His union has declining numbers and will likely be decertified. MI governor is considering repealing the Right To Work law. If his union is decert. before the law is repealed, and therefore there is no active union at his company, is there any impact to him if the RTW law is repealed? I think the union would have to be voted back in before employees would be forced to join. Correct?

I am living with a spouse with whom my relationship has at an all time low. I can see he doesn't like me (if I am being honest, his reasons are fair).
I am a generally "sad" person and apart from our 5 year old son, I don't have any joy in my life. I spend a lot of time with my son and we both love him to bits and show him that everyday.
I am starting my therapy, but no hope it will actually work. Is it even possible to find a way forward? Leaving the marriage at this point is not an option.

I really feel like I’ve been dealt a really bad hand in my life. It feels like no one gives me a chance. Whether it’s a job I know I’m qualified for, or someone I’m interested in. Even things that appear to be good at first end up sucking. I know I should be grateful for what I have and that so many others are less fortunate. But I still can’t help but think that for a person in my position, given the opportunities that I was given, I am just a complete failure and nowhere near what I could be.
