I'm having the last loop interviews with Amazon for an analyst position, but I'm realizing that it might not be the right place for me, I'm currently working at hpe and have a good balance, 11+ YOE, I'm not sure if it's really worth the effort. Industry expects one person to do everything from recruiting to Payroll. One Sr Mgr was asking me why multiple people are needed on WD, one person should do everything.
I asked him why you need multiple departments (HR ops, benefits, comp, payroll, learning) one should do everything. He kept quiet 🤫 after that exchange

Do a LinkedIn search for workday keywords sometime. There are a shocking number of complete frauds out there presenting themselves as if they’ve been doing Workday since Dave Duffield was still at PeopleSoft.
I worked with a guy that was hired by the client as an expert in their legacy ERP platform. He clearly had never logged into that ERP in his life and spent half the project asking me to give him Workday training documents. 6 months after the project I looked him up on LinkedIn and it claims he’s a “Sr Consultant in Workday HCM, Comp, Payroll, Time, Benefits, Advanced Comp, Talent, and Integrations”
No wonder job postings make ridiculous asks like that when those are the people applying.
