Anyone else feel like we’re all getting a raw deal on healthcare? Switched to industry and one 30 minute doc appointment is $450 out of pocket.
I have historically been a long term investor. Mostly ETFs but speculated a bit with travel/leisure at the dip last month... still planning to hold these long term. I have about $50k between my (cont)
I’m relatively new to freelancing, but was lucky enough to sell in a video shoot and travel to be there on set. How do you handle billing hours and expenses in this scenario as a freelancer? Obviously I’ll bill any hours working on the project, time on set and expense my travel. Do you bill extra for the billable hours you lost during travel?
Recommendations for travel destinations in the US at the end of October / early November? I have a few weeks between jobs, concerned about getting Covid in another country and not being able to come back on time. I don’t want to do hiking or national parks as I’m a young woman traveling alone and don’t think I would enjoy lots of hiking by myself. Am vaccinated
Has anyone shot any spots off shore during Covid and have flown English speaking talent from say from Vancouver to like South Africa? Has it been doable during Covid? Any challenges? Just curious
Help! I’m going to a delayed-due-to-covid evening cocktail wedding reception In October in central Massachusetts. I have a closet full of dresses and a black pantsuit, all appropriate, but some are several years old or dont fit perfectly. Since y’all are far more fashionable than I am , what looks would you suggest? I’m 52.
Has anyone had success negotiating a large medical bill with a hospital. I had an emergency room visit, resulting in a bill of which I owe $2k (after payments by insurance). I’m capable of paying, so not expecting to qualify for any programs. Just think the amount owed is outrageous (I.e. $4k for a CT Scan!?) Any tips?
Completed biometrics for Greencard shall I proactively do my medical or wait until we get told to?
Now that the ban is lifting, we won’t be needing NIE letter from the employer right for stamping ? If I get a date for H1b in November, I can travel without NIE right ?
Super bummed - took my health seriously this year, lost 40 pounds, found my love for running again, and was preparing to post a PR marathon in a couple weeks. My first day of tapering and I suffered a grade 3 ankle sprain. Now that my sob story is over - how do I stay healthy and relatively fit while being immobile for a bit? Do I just really need to focus on diet? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Fellow PwCers. Are you on a firm health care plan, vision, dental, or legal plan. If for so, has it been valuable?
How to set boundaries at work with the Covid campaigns? We’re already working long hours during the week. I really can’t take this on the weekends too. I know you’re supposed to ‘save your job’ but...
Want to buy property in / near NYC. I know with covid prices in the city (I’m assuming the 5 boroughs) went down, while prices outside of the city went up. Is that enough of a move in the market to make it worth it to buy in the city (and not in Long Island for example)?
Sick day, anyone?
“Per diem” meal expenses are EXPLOITATION. $50 is not enough for a single meal at a hotel restaurant, let alone an entire DAY for food. Shifting travel costs onto your employees = evil. Yes i mad :<
Can someone travel to US with a stamped Canadian Student Visa? My brother is moving to Canada for studying and I'd like for him to have a 1-2 week pitstop in US. US consulate shows temporarily closed for a B1/B2 visa. Appreciate any inputs from fellow desi bowl members.
HR keeps trying to paper me up with speed to output crap because they think I’m sick, but the reality is that I’m terminal and probably won’t be around to see the end of this. God I hope they don’t pretend to put up a caring memorial when I’m gone.
Applying to banks ( Citi, BAML, JPM etc) but don't want to move to NYC which is where most of their ops are. Any recommendations?
Creative director for Disney Plus? This would be the first client side job I’ve ever had. No idea If the salary is more or less than what we see in ad agencies. Any tips / insight?
Just looking to meet someone here, a little about me, I’m a 27 years old guy , work in finance, love playing tennis and eating Italian food. Also I have aspergers.
Potentially silly questions but when people generally say that you have to be at MBB to make the jump to PE, are these folks doing PE type work like diligence or something relevant or are they doing more broad type of consulting and getting into PE because they have the MBB brand?
Which one should I join? EY GDS or Accenture YOE : 2.3years Accenture is paying me 10 LPA fixed and I am afraid that I might get fired in the near future due to the high salary. EY GDS is paying me 7 LPA fixed.
I am currently a senior consultant at Accenture. Should I accept a position at MBB for an analyst position? Pay is very similar but it would be a downgrade in the role, but however it is MBB.
What are some good questions to ask the interviewer during a second round interview for an in house position? These interviews will be by the other members of the legal team and business partners (not the hiring manager himself).
Publicis sapient 11lpa (fixed) Nagarro 12.75 lpa (fixed) Yoe 3.2 Which one should I choose as a Java developer? If Publicis sapient matches Nagarro salary which one would be better from career and learning perspective? Need your suggestions badly.
15+ YoE with a mix of tech / analytics strategy + hands on AI/ML implementation both at boutique and Big 4 + program leadership (managing 20 - 30 person cross-functional teams). Would aiming for $350k TC be too high? What are potential exit ramps?

Currently at 3-4 YoE at a midsize, lower tier consulting firm as a SC focused in healthcare. I have two job offers with roughly the same TC at other more well known consulting firms. The position at Company A is focused within healthcare and aligns with my experience. Company B is more strategy and advisory focused and isn’t industry specific. Any advice on making the best choice? I’m leaning toward Company B mainly due to the fact that it isn’t industry specific and better WLB
So there’s been a lot of nyc hating lately on here but here’s my position/current debate. I love nyc - the five years I lived there out of college were the absolute best. I since moved out to the south and while I’m leading a less stressful life day to day, I really miss nyc. I have a job opp that lets me come back to the city with a 25% pay bump. That doesn’t make up for higher col but I’m tempted to take it. Money isn’t everything? Would move to bklyn or uws/ues this time as I’m (cont)
Has anyone completed a case study with IBM? How was it? This will be my first! Any tips would be great.
New Expense policy for EY? Your thoughts
Anyone know how much seniors make at Deloitte in T&IS and what the WLB is like in that group?
Mid size vs big 4 - which one to choose and why? Pay/work is same, no exit ops in either.
