I freelance PM for a small firm, 2 male owners, all else are ICs. When managing certain campaigns I am the ONLY one from my team doing the bulk of the work. My agency’s profit margins are ridiculous. Example, they’ll charge a small firm $10k for a project that costs them $3k. I, who will have managed the entire project, might pocket up to $1k. The owners, who do nothing, pocket $6k. Yet when I ask for a raise, it’s a big issue. I love the work, but I am clearly underpaid and valued. Need advise!
What skin care, hair care, or beauty tools will you be purchasing for Black Friday? I bought myself an olaplex holiday kit at Nordstrom.
So annoying to deal with SM who is stuck in his mentality of work culture from his home country.. to be super hierarchical and doesn't expect anyone to challenge him.. just sits like a boss. ...
If you loved your small independent broker dealer but they had just been acquired by a much larger corporation which does have benefits in terms, mostly, in technology, but you lose your “family” in the home office, what would you do and who would you look at if you were considering a change of your own?
Thoughts on Activision Blizzard? If anyone worked or is currently working there, I’d love to know more about the culture, WLB, compensation and benefits. Thank you!
For those of you saving for an mba what is your approach? I am currently 1 year out of school and have around 40k in high interest savings and another 40k in other savings accounts (brokerage, Roth, 401k). Should i keep a 50/50 split or invest the money and sell later? Also what is a good amount to have saved prior to matriculation assuming no scholarships at a top school?
Is there any sort of TSA Pre or Global Entry option for Indian immigrants in the US? Heard about SENTRI/FAST, but not sure what the benefits of those really include?
Going in for my review/raise in 30 mins. Biting my nails. Scared. Excited. All of it. I hate reviews. I want more money. 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

I'm a relatively new financial advisor and my office is sticking me with a lot of trade shows/summer block parties/benefits fairs. Any tips and advice or do's and don'ts for those types of events?
I’m starting maternity leave soon and have kept my group well-informed so that no one is surprised. HR keeps telling me to transfer my cases, but the senior attorneys/partners don’t seem to care and keep tasking me on projects. I keep gently reminding them that I could be gone at any moment, but it doesn’t matter. I’m glad work has picked up because my hours were very low, but it is extremely stressful right now. It feels as if as a pregnant attorney I will have to work even while in labor.
