Didn’t realize deloitte wasn’t paying well enough these days. Wonder how many coworkers you’ll end up picking up
What’s wrong with earning a little extra when you have some time(in case of no travel)
Lol wouldnt we all rather drive uber than spend time doing PRD?
I would honestly just go for it without seeking prior approval because... 1. There's no obvious conflict of interest, unless your client now is Uber or one of its competitors. 2. Uber's employment model has you working as an independent contractor and drivers technically aren't considered 'employees' within their contract. So in that sense it's technically not outside 'employment'.
PRD= Practice development (white papers and the like) work
I think at K we have to get formal approval on any outside employment like this. Might be weird to ask, but also might make them realize they are apparently not paying you enough.
Most external employment requires pre approval. Many ignore this requirement. Asking for approval for Uber will not put you in a good light with leadership.
What’s PRD?
I don’t think so they might not allow and you would land up getting more PRD work.
But I agree with you. No matter how much one gets paid. A little extra is always better.
A1, it's still employment, just self employment to be a contractor. The firm would disagree that there's a difference.
