KPMG - 2 years, FS tax. Early promo was influenced in part by the fact that 50% of our manager/SM group left within 2 months

You can make it in 2 if you’re a superstar.

Isnt 2 standard for every firm lol? Every senior manager I’ve met when I look at linked in they were only a manager for two years

funny

3 years. Honestly this is the one you shouldn't rush IF you have PPED aspirations. It's a whole nother ball game to get in pipeline and once you are in pipeline there is little slowing down.

like

3 years. Isn’t that standard for all the firms?

It used to be 3 at Deloitte, I believe there's a push to 4 years now (starting covid when they were looking for an excuse to reduce promotions at the higher levels)

like

I could have in three, but waited to four by choice. I’ve seen it done in one (strange circumstance though involving an external hire that was a rockstar).

3 years

2 - FDD, early promo

I watched an interview with a psychologist who explained Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and realized this describes my ex to a T. Delusions of grandeur, prone to fits of rage, vain, jealous, thinks everyone is beneath him, entitled. I tried to love him even harder and accommodated every whim to try and make it work. And basically the doctor said that Narcissists don’t change. I’m sad that I wasted 3 years of my life but glad that I’m out. Anyone else healing from dating a Narcissist?

Sorry if this isn’t the right bowl! I was fired from my last job due to performance issues. I filed for unemployment and was approved, however my former employer filed an appeal. I’m not even sure what they’re protesting but it’s making me really nervous. What should I do now?

Do airlines pay fines for flight delays unrelated to weather? If not, that would probably solve the issue. Thoughts?

I’m working for a big 4 and have a suggestion to encourage folks to return to the office. I find I’m more productive overall if I spend a few days a week in the actual home office. However…I don’t want to pay a couple hundred a month on parking. How about reimbursing parking? That would be a valuable perk…versus free bagels and garbage food.

Had a low GPA in undergrad due to health issues. Also had to withdraw a class and retake it bc I was busy consulting surgeons to see if I needed surgery at the time. To what extent is it recommended to write about health issues in app additional info section to mitigate low GPA? What type of health issues should be specified vs. what types are seen as excuses? What amount of detail should one provide? Do schools ask for proof?

Does anyone else feel like they’re consistently having to prove themselves every day? I don’t mean usual “trying to go above and beyond at work” I mean the nagging feeling that you might get fired if you don’t accomplish every email task or chat request that may or may not be directed to you. Constantly anxious at this job.
