I'm 5'5" but I married tall, so I hope we have some tall babies! In all seriousness, when sitting in a conf room, I'm self-conscious about being the shortest (and frequently the only woman) at the table. So I also adjust the height of my chair to be taller. They can't see the fact that my feet don't touch the ground, but I can at least look at these tall dudes at the eye level.
5'0" - female, 32 years old who has been mistaken for 22 years old- except for when I open my mouth. Had clients and partners say that never realize how short I am until they are standing right next to me and/or we take a pic together. Petite can be your advantage- you can observe for longer. It's like you're a sleeper pick :)
Are you saying McK is full of little Napoleons? 😂
I'm 6'2" and I absolutely have experienced that bias. (It works to my advantage but I notice it.) in client meetings with an Asian colleague who is about a foot shorter but 10 years experience my senior, questions are directed at me. Now that I think of it, that could be any number of prejudices...
I'm 6'5", my client frequently requests me to swaddle him in a blanket after a rough meeting, due to the intense trusting bond.
its the opposite for women though, if you're too tall (5'9 in flats) with an average height (male) client that napolean complex always seems to kick in
Yes, but make it up with communication skills and how you dress.
This is why Ents make the best consultants
There was a research in HBR few years ago that CEOs of F500 were 2 inches taller than their executives.
I am a shorty girl.
All these tall guys 😋 gonna need some numbers
I think tech must be different, the culture is who's technical gets respect...nobody gives a fuck about height
6'1... Manager is 6'6. People respect me, people trust him.
ENTJ!!!!!! Shorty but very spunky 🤓🤓🤓🤓
Has anyone else not experienced this? I'm a 5'9" female and its been rare that my male teammates have been taller than me
Look at the partners in your firm most are above 6' the women are usually on the taller side too. So historically have presidents been on the taller side. Also why they adjust podiums ect. Something about commanding presence.
6'2" - when sitting try to be the tallest head at the table.
6'5" and fat as hell
When is this consulting dating app gonna happen... I want to meet the single tall men posting here haha. 5'10" woman. Love being tall and definitely helps feel more powerful and confident
Wear heels if a lady.
Yea I'm 6'4" myself and don't have any issues. Just noticed that shorter dudes sometimes struggle in client management and wondered if there is a correlation.
