dumb question, but can someone explain differences between product manager and project man. And why a product manager is more valued

I’m trying to figure out what I’m worth. I’m a director / editor who works directly in-house at an agency. I’ve directed several (roughly one a month) broadcast spots in the last year for a national fast food client and I’ve also edited those spots among editing other random national spots in-between. The production budgets range from roughly 200k-500k per shoot depending on how many days it is. I get paid 75k yearly which is feeling pretty low when I do the math. Is that fair?

I’ve been working at an agency for 2+ years and was on the client side for 3 years prior. I’m now thinking about trying to start out as a social media manager on the side (and maybe it’ll take flight, who knows). Anyone have any tips on the best way to start?

Any tips for staying on top of logging hours? I'm always putting it off, then playing catch up on weeks, sometimes months at a time. (salaried employee here – but we need to input for client/project tracking purposes. It sucks.)

Big theme this year is empathetic "data-driven" creative. Problem is in my experience the client tends to use data as a trump card to rule over creative... not empower it #cannesconversations
