Yes. You can do that. I own my own RIA and clear through TDA.

I also use TD, but I don't charge myself a fee on my own account.
Yep. Same thing. You can do it through whomever...I do mine through TDA..just makes it easier.
I have a great set up with TDA because I own my RIA and have for 15 years. They bought out the other company we cleared through so we got grandfathered in.
If you have other questions or want an RIA to hang your hat on before you take on opening your own, we could chat. It’s expensive to do. Plus my operations manager could help with all the paperwork and I hire out for compliance.

What about a standard 401(k) plan with multiple employees? Same setup? Charge the entire plan a % of AUM?
