Policy manual is unclear and HR has provided two conflicting answers in previous discussions. I think it's a valid question when multiple high level directors/managers don't know what to do and there's a nice anonymous network to ask. Appreciate how extra salty you are though

I always take black on Monday and Thursdays. I leave way too early in the morning to advertise to random folks that my home is empty. At the client site or city, I use UberX. I dare someone to tell me any differently..:

Once you go black you will not go back

I thought they didn't want you to take black at most firms because of the cost...

This is a valid post. It's interesting what other managers do and say.

I'd ask like to know the answer to that

I normally take x but my director said he only does black

At a firm the size of PwC I'm sure you have an HR department ready to yield these type of questions or a policy manual you could read. Asking a group of consultants from multiple firms who aren't in HR is stupid. Go waste air somewhere else.

Sounds like one of those "interpretations" of the policy that consultants do to get more from their firm

Uber X does not provide insurance

Never an issue using UberX. Car service in the morning / flights but otherwise not an issue (think the policy is vague).

I've heard the same, due to the lower insurance limits carried by uberx

When will fishbowl get a downgrade button. This post needs that.

Why does this need a downgrade button? Congrats on providing no valuable input

@OP1 how is this my fault for being salty. You, in your original post, started with "dumb question". I am agreeing with you that this is a dumb question. If HR is giving you conflicting reports then fucking put HR on watch and tell them to figure it the fuck out. No consultant, manager, or even partner is going to give you a more official answer.
