During my 9 years working with PR agencies, writing/editing has been the least favorite part of my job.

I’m good at managing clients, strategising, managing influencers, and media relations and I’m thinking of making a job/career change but not sure where to start.

What positions (agency or client side) require less writing and more managing/strategising.

Once you get to VP and above, your day to day isn’t as heavy on writing as you’re focused on client relationships, account strategy and new business.
I still review client deliverables but they’ve already been reviewed by our ADs by the time they get to me.

Writing is always the first thing I contract out to help my account managers better focus on the strategy and clients. I’ve also had dedicated writers on my team for the same reason. You should be able to find account manager positions with less writing as I’m sure there are other agencies that use this structure.

Likely getting an offer soon - already have planned vacation starting Tuesday until the new year. Do I give notice before I get the written offer/background check so I can leave before holidays but risk offboarding during vacation or give notice my first day back? At a startup so not sure if they'd want me out asap (cash strapped) or expect me to stay 2 weeks. I dont care much about pay, more about optimizing my time before next job (burnt out)

Hi all, new to fishbowl. I am currently a PTA working in homecare. I am considering changing career paths to non-clinical. Everything I search for available jobs in the pay range that I need seems to come up as sales, (Sr, executive, etc) I have zero sales experience, but could see myself working as a healthcare liason, recruiter, care coordinator, or pharm sales rep. I live in Dayton, OH. I would love some insight or feedback. I also see Gpac recruiting popping up, is this a reputable co? Ty!

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
