I think you should put this in your file for your next review/promotion/salary bump talk
They just want you to keep putting in more effort, feel excited, motivated and give it your all. Yes it would be reasonable for you to interpret it the way you are interpreting it, but that does not mean your project thinks the same way. They already would have your backfill in mind (for contingency), even though you are choosing to stay, they care about their business, their revenue and themselves. So keep doing what you are doing, but don’t trust them too much. Speaking from my own experience.

Don’t read into it and don’t do anything about it (considering you’re new). Take the compliment, be proud.
Try to take what they said, good and bad, at face value. Generally the incentives of the person giving you feedback will be towards telling you the truth.
The exception is if you’re doing a bad job but they have no alternative to you and don’t want to demotivate you.
It’s hard to know if this is you but if you think it might be ask what you could do more or less of. And listen to the answer. Really listen. Don’t justify why you have, will, can’t, didn’t or shouldn’t. Just listen. If they have anything to say at this point it doesn’t mean they think you’re doing a bad job, but if they do think it then this is where they will tell you why they think that and it’s your opportunity to get closer to doing what they want.
Consulting companies generally want to retain people who are doing a good job and the best way to do a good job is to worry about the client more than the feedback.
