During screen I had asked the recruiter what was their interview process is. He said 1. Screen 2. Technical Interview. He said that it becomes clear after the technical interview and that there is a 3rd round with the director but their process never goes to that .passed the technical interview very successfully. been invited for the 3rd round to present a project .Have they made a decision and I’m invited just as a backup choice?

I was upfront that I was not looking but because he was persistent and this could be something I’m interested in for the future, I had a sit down with him. At the end, he said the ball was in my court and he would love for me to go through a formal interview. The firm seems great, but my current position is 100% remote and fits perfectly into my schedule. Do I interview even though I wouldn’t consider changing until next year?!

Does anyone else feel that we’re being told “everyone is hiring” but no one is ACTUALLY hiring? More so, putting people through the ringer then saying “we’re on a hiring freeze/position put on hold”.
